Flower Crown Tutorial!

Ciao lovelies!,

Looking for a fun summer craft to make?  Maybe one that you can have fun making and then wear…?  How about floral/flower crowns!!  They’re super pretty and rather easy to make.  You can customize them by using whichever flowers you prefer in any colors you like as well as by adding ribbons, glitter, etc.  Here’s a little tutorial showing you how to simply make a pretty one for yourself!  It could be a fun craft to do with girlfriends as well or for flower girls for a wedding.  Comment below and tell me if you enjoy craft/DIY posts like this or if you’ve made you own floral crown! Smile

Step 1:

Gather all of your supplies.

The ribbon and extra sparkles, etc. are not necessary but can be added for extra fun, or just use flowers if that’s what you prefer.  I like to use a variety of larger and smaller flowers.

Step 2:

Use your thicker wire (I prefer gold.) to create a circle the size of your head.  Measure a piece on your head and cut about 3 to 4 inches extra so you can twist the two sides together.

Step 3:

Start planning how you want to group your flowers on your crown.  I like to use some larger ones spaced between groups of smaller ones.  I found that it’s easier to group a few small flowers together and wrap them together with the green floral wire, like in the pictures below.

Step 4:

Start arranging your flowers on your crown.  Wrap each flower or group of flowers around the crown with the green floral wire.  (The wire cutters are for cutting the floral wires…of course, and the pliers can be used to twist it, although fingers work as well for the   I also used a bit of hot glue here and there to make them extra secure.

Step 5:

Add any extra decoration, glitter, ribbons, etc.  For this one, I left some space empty on the back and hot glued some pretty ribbon.  I curled some using scissors as well.  I think it adds a fun fairy princess touch to your floral crown.
